▪️ The Gospel According to Luke 1:12 ▪️
 
Luke.1:11 Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense.
Luke.1:12 And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.
 
The miracle of direct contact with Heaven cannot but amaze a person. For the angel, it was not a miracle. He brought the long-awaited answer to prayer! Many generations of believers had been waiting for this answer. About this expectation Balaam prophesied fifteen hundred years earlier: “I see Him, but not now; I behold Him, but not near; A Star shall come out of Jacob; A Scepter shall rise out of Israel” (Num.24:17).
 
Angels perform ministry for us and do it in such a way as not to trouble or frighten us. “Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?” (Heb.1:14).
 
What, then, is the main thing for us in contact with Heaven? It is the work of grace in the heart. We must not reject this holy influence.
