“To turn... the disobedient to the wisdom of the just.”

How pleasant to think that God can give us a good way of thinking! There will be no bad thoughts and feelings, but only good ones. “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Phi.4:7).

These words agree with what Scripture says about Christ, and John was His instrument: “You have ascended on high, You have led captivity captive; You have received gifts among men, Even from the rebellious, That the Lord God might dwell there” (Ps.68:18).

Often we resist without wanting it, just because of our character and way of life. “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find” (Rom.7:18).

But God wants to form in us faith in Christ, and through this to give us good and reconcile us with Himself.
